Tena koutou
Tena koutou
Tena koutou katoa.

Greetings to you all.

Māori culture is central to New Zealand's fresh, invigorating and adventurous national identity.

A Taste of Culture module, facilitated by Pauline Gray Student Relations Coordinator – Māori at Waikato Management School, showcases Māori culture as an integral part of Kiwi life and adding a unique and dynamic experience to our Executive Training Programme.

Starting with a mihi whakatau in te reo Māori, participants are immediately involved and are encouraged to share their culture too. A brief history of the Waikato and Kingitanga (King movement) shows the unique relationship that the university has with Waikato/Tainui , the local iwi of this area.

Groups are encouraged to take part and are taught a waiata which is appropriate to the programme theme and often sung by the group at their Farewell ceremony.
