Shane's role is a partnership between the University of Waikato and Priority One (the Western Bay of Plenty's Economic Development Agency), helping to develop and commercialise science and technology capability in Tauranga and the broader Bay of Plenty. Shane has held previous positions in management and business development in the NZ Tertiary and Government sectors, and in the private sector in the UK. He holds a BSocSci (Waikato) and MBA (Henley Business School, UK).
