Population Change
The Population Change theme builds on Te Ngira's reputation for providing timely, rigorous analysis of population change for iwi, local government and community organisations.
It focuses on the sub-national dimensions of demographic, social and economic change. These include:
- the implications of regional shifts from natural population growth to decline
- work and settlement patterns
- changing iwi, Māori and ethnic composition
- dynamics of regional divergence and the implications of these shifts for land and resource use.
